The goal of the Masawat Program is to help trans women financially. Transgender women get a stipend of Rs. 7,000 every three months under this initiative. While the Ehsaas program’s stated goal was to alleviate poverty and offer financial aid to those in need, the program’s free nature belies its intended purpose. In the Ehsaas Equality program, everyone is treated the same. Pakistan’s government has decided to extend similar aid to eunuchs as well.

This program provides financial support to trans women over the age of 40. Transgender persons in Pakistan, like in many similar nations, experience personal, social, cultural, and economic difficulties that place them at a heightened risk of isolation and social marginalization. They are particularly vulnerable since they are part of groups with high rates of chronic poverty and low levels of human capital development.

In response to these demands, PSPA has implemented the Transgender Persons Welfare Policy, which includes a specific equality initiative. Supporting transgender people of all ages and abilities to find work and access micro-loans is the goal of the Equality Program’s unconditional cash transfers.

At first, the Transgender Welfare Policy’s proposed actions will be narrowed down by the Equality Program based on administrative efficiency. Under this scheme, all certified TGPs in Punjab would be able to launch their own micro-enterprises.

In cooperation with the Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC), PSPA would provide TGPs with interest-free loans of up to Rs.1 lakh. Health agencies and private sector businesses will collaborate to host medical camps where TGPs may get free screenings, treatments, and medications. The private sector is going to engage with PSPA and other groups to increase job prospects for TGPs.

The steps to enroll in this program are as follows:

1. Register with NADRA to get an ID that reflects his gender identity as a eunuch.
2. Visit the Benazir Income Support Program office to complete the registration process.

Masawat for Transgender Individuals

This program provides transgender seniors with a monthly financial benefit of Rs.3000 and transgender handicapped individuals with a monthly payment of Rs.2000, both of which are unconditional. Any of the HBL Konnect agents in Punjab may make cash withdrawals for you.
